Nephraware (nephraware.org) is a nonprofit educational initiative providing free kidney health education for children, families, and educators. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what information we collect and how we use it.

What We Collect

When you fill out a form on our website (such as the educator interest form), we may collect:

• Your school or organization name
• Grade level you teach
• An optional message about your classroom or program

We do not collect any information from students. Our website has no student accounts, no student login, and no features directed at children under 13.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that identify individual users.
• We do not collect student names, student data, or any information protected under FERPA.
• We do not collect personal information from children and are not subject to COPPA data collection requirements, as our site does not have features directed at children under 13.
• We do not use advertising trackers or sell any data.

How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through our educator interest form is used solely to:

• Respond to your inquiry about the Kidney Explorers activity packs
• Send you educational materials and resources you requested
• Understand how our materials are being used in schools (in aggregate, not individually)

We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information to any third party.

Downloadable Materials

Our Teacher Kit PDF and other downloadable resources are freely available without requiring an account or providing personal information. Downloads are not tracked to individual users.

Third-Party Services

Our website is a static HTML site. We do not embed third-party trackers, social media pixels, or advertising networks. If we host the site through a third-party provider (such as GitHub Pages or Netlify), that provider may collect basic server logs (IP addresses, browser type) as part of standard web hosting. We do not access or use this data.

Data Retention

Information submitted through our contact forms is retained only as long as needed to respond to your request and support your use of our materials. You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing us.

Children's Privacy

Our website provides educational content about kidney health but is designed for use by educators, parents, and caregivers — not directly by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
